This species is in the genus Porcellionides. A not too common genus of isopod. This species is quick and skittish. They have a smaller back-plate in order to fit longer and quicker legs.

This species is very common to use as a cleanup crew in bioactive setups given their speed to avoid predatory tank mates and incredible reproduction rate. These guys eat anything and reproduce extremely fast. They are hard to get rid of from soil if they are introduced to a tank.

This makes them absolutely perfect to keep as cleanup crew and/or supplementary food for other animals such as frogs, toads, lizards, ants and other insects.

Care:

Humidity: 50-90% Can survive most things, but need a humid setup to thrive.

This species is perfect as feeders and/or cleanup crew. Due to their very fast reproductive rate.
