Description

Camponotus barbaricus is a common ant found throughout all of middle to southern europe. They enjoy mid to arid environments and are generally a hardy species. Well suited for beginners as well as intermediate keepers. They grow faster than their northern relatives but achieve just as staggering sizes for their major workers. 

Since they make dirt nests in most often slightly dry areas, they are well suited for an arid vivarium build or Ytong nests, but will do in most setups.
